Lalzi Coastal Soul

This hotel project, located near the coast of Gjiri i Lalzit, is conceived as a serene retreat where bohemian spirit, beach lifestyle, and wabi-sabi philosophy come together to create a unique and immersive hospitality experience.

The design is rooted in a deep connection with nature and the surrounding landscape. Architecture and interiors are intentionally understated, allowing raw textures, natural light, and organic forms to define the space. Inspired by the principles of wabi-sabi, the project embraces imperfection, simplicity, and authenticity—celebrating materials in their most honest state.

The spatial organization of the hotel is designed to feel fluid and relaxed, encouraging a slow and mindful experience. Common areas open դեպի the outdoors, blurring the boundaries between interior and exterior. Guests move seamlessly from shaded lounges to sunlit terraces, from private rooms to shared social spaces, all while maintaining a sense of calm and privacy.

The material palette is dominated by natural elements such as wood, stone, linen, and clay. Surfaces are textured and tactile, often left slightly unfinished to highlight their raw beauty. Soft, neutral tones—sand, off-white, warm beige, and sun-faded earthy hues—reflect the coastal environment and enhance the tranquil atmosphere.

Outdoor areas play a central role in the overall experience. Lounge spaces, beach-facing seating, and quiet corners are integrated into the landscape, offering moments for relaxation, reflection, and connection with nature. The sound of the sea, the texture of sand, and the rhythm of light throughout the day become part of the design itself.
